Shine the spotlight on students and staff who lead with love and kindness!
Help connect Marion student-athletes with resources to pursue their dreams.
The Fauser Family “Who Loves You” MHSAA Scholarship Fund was created to recognize and reward employees and students who help build a culture of love, kindness, encouragement, and excellence at Marion High School.
Success is never achieved alone. It takes people who encourage others, lift teammates during difficult times, lead by example, and make everyone feel valued and included. This scholarship honors those special individuals who go above and beyond to care for others and positively impact the lives around them.
Sometimes a simple act of kindness — sitting with someone who feels alone, encouraging a struggling classmate, or showing compassion to someone being overlooked — can change a life forever. Every person matters, and everyone deserves to know they are loved.
The Fauser family has been deeply connected to Marion High School and the Marion community for generations.
- Julie Fauser, Class of 1980, loves all and serves the community through her leadership with the Gardens of Matter Park.
- Nick Fauser, Class of 2010, All-NCC tennis, proudly serves in the United States Air Force.
- Kristin “Kiki” Fauser, Class of 2012, Star dancer, worked for many years in the legal field and now works as an interior designer and real estate agent.
- Jack Fauser, Class of 2021, Indiana All-Star in tennis, works as a director and editor.
- Mark Fauser has served as the Sales, Marketing, and Creative Development Director for Marion Community Schools since 2014 and was inducted into the Marion High School Hall of Distinction as a contributor. One of his favorite catch phrases is “Who loves you?”
The Fauser family has been blessed to be a meaningful part of Marion High School and believes strongly in giving back to the school and community they love.
“It is important to give back and help spread the message of ‘Who Loves You.’”
Through the Marion High School Alumni Association, the Fauser family will award at least two scholarships each year:
1. Employee Recognition Scholarship
Awarded to a Marion High School employee — teacher, secretary, coach, counselor, cafeteria worker, custodian, or other staff member — who consistently goes above and beyond through hard work, compassion, positivity, and servant leadership.
Employees and students may nominate deserving candidates. Each recipient will be surprised during MHSAA Scholarship Day with words of appreciation shared publicly, along with a financial gift.
2. Student Leadership Scholarship
Awarded to a Marion High School student who leads with love and kindness every day.
This student looks out for others, treats peers and staff with respect, encourages classmates, includes those who may feel alone, and works to make Marion High School a better place for everyone.
Employees and students may nominate deserving candidates. Each recipient will be surprised during MHSAA Scholarship Day with statements of appreciation and a financial gift.
“Our hope is that this scholarship inspires a culture where
every Giant knows they matter, they belong, and they are loved.”
